In July of 2025, Pia Raina, President of the IYS International Youth Society, Track Nepal, a Registered Non-Profit of Nepal and myself, Shellie Robinson, CEO of World Trust Media Network & ChiChat of USA Maine had the incredible opportunity to attend a High-Level Political Forum on Sustainable Development. The Forum was held at the United Nations headquarters in NYC, NY, an event that focused on pressing global issues. The primary topic of discussion at the UN was financing, a subject that resonated deeply throughout the week. Many representatives from various countries emphasized the critical need for innovative funding mechanisms to address sustainable development goals. Key Takeaways from the UN High-Level Political Forum During the forum, I had the privilege of observing numerous passionate individuals, all committed to making a difference. Some connections I made opened up countless opportunities ahead for many people, regardless of location. Everyone's dedication to humanitarian causes was inspiring, and it became clear that the United Nations is a hub of resources waiting to be tapped into. The organization offers a wealth of tools designed to enhance capabilities for addressing global challenges. From charity opportunities to collaborative partnerships, the UN provides essential infrastructure for humanitarian work. The Global Need for Financial Innovation One of the most pressing takeaways I observed from the event was the world is in desperate need of assistance with food and basic needs. The financial resources available to many are insufficient, and new innovative strategies Charities around the world are greatly needed. The proposed approach involves: - Seeking private funding beyond traditional government aid - Exploring innovative retail avenues for NGOs - Developing collaborative for-profit partnerships between organizations - Creating ethical business projects for more humanitarian businesses - Expanding safe international resources, jobs, and services - Creating a safe network free from human trafficking, child exploitation and corruption. CHICHAT represents this collaborative approach to addressing these global humanitarian challenges through it's innovative humanitarian platform and community engagement building. Shellie Robinson, CEO of World Trust Media Network has spent some time learning about the humanitarian sectors, mastering conflict management, understanding the mechanics of fundraising and strengthening communication skills with intention to bring financial relief, resources and services to those in need with a special focus on the USA.
